Clint spent all day Saturday at the Library working on his new campaign, and reading. He wants to make it a Saturday routine that we go to the library and check out books. Of course as Dade gets older this will benefit him as well.
I read at school a lot. Pictures books, chapter books, etc. . . At home, it's a different story. I don't read, unless it's to Dade. Even to Dade it's gotten few and far between. With no rocker in his room he's been lying with me in bed until he goes to sleep. As soon as we get our couch, the rocker can come back upstairs, and we can get back to reading at night.
What am I getting at? I have a ton of books here at the house that I want to read, and I'm going to make an effort to read more before I turn in for the night. Dade's currently asleep in his room, Clint's downstairs with Aaron and Chris talking KNRPG, and I've got Dexter on the DVD player. Oh yeah, and Slinky's in his kennel for the night.
I've got Seeing Me Naked by Liz Palmer next to me. She also wrote Conversations with the Fat Girl and I loved it. I've had this book for awhile now and haven't started it. I'm going to as soon as I finish this blog. Going to read until my eyes nod off.

When did I post last?
Can't remember. That means it's been awhile. Time for photo blogging. Enjoy!
When we got the house!
After we painted
I need to take a picture of the bedroom (when it isn't covered with clothes). As you can see we did ALOT of painting before we moved in. The only big piece of furniture we are missing is our couch. No worries though, it's on order from Nebraska Furniture Mart. We should have it sometime before the New Year!
Now for pictures of the super mobile, crazy, tons of fun DADE!
Dade did not want to go to bed the other night when we gamed. We put him in his highchair, gave him super big dice, and he was set. We sat there the entire game (3+ hours) and finally crashed around midnight.
Here I am trying to get him to go to sleep around midnight. Daddy wanted to take pictures though.
Even at midnight, those big eyes are wide awake!
Here's one piece that proves Dade is my son! He LOVES and I mean LOVES to watch Will Ferrell. It doesn't matter what it is. SNL Best of, Talladega Night, Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back. You put that on and you are golden. I think Clint has watched Best of at least a hundred times if not more. Dade laughs right along with the audience. It's something to watch!
I can't believe that my baby is 8 months old! He's such a big boy! Here is he at Grandma Barb's in his booster seat at the table. We are trying "adult" foods now. He does not like refried beans (however we enjoy watching his face), and rice. He does like jello, veggies, and sloppy burgers. Tonight at dinner he was upset because he didn't get to try my food. Who does he take after in that instant?
Yummy icing from Brant's cake! Won't be too much longer before it's his turn to get good and dirty with a cake!
Dade's a bit of a bully. Brant, however, was not very happy to be pulled on. The picture says it all.
MY FAVORITE!!! Dade thinks that it's funny to bite the spoon, and then to laugh. We of course start laughing as well, and then he starts laughing even harder. As a result whoever is feeding him gets sprayed with baby food.
He's almost walking. He loves to walk along the wall holding onto whatever he can. Clint says that during the day he starts in the living room entryway into the kitchen and works his way into the dining room and then into the kitchen. I think think he'll be walking by Thanksgiving. If not then by Christmas.
I need to blog more often so that they aren't so long!
