I Need A . . .

Pepsi!!!  I thought I had some dollar bills in my wallet, and then I remembered that Clint took them yesterday to make some copies at Kinkos! BLAST!!!!

18 Months and Counting

It's crazy!  I know that it's crazy, but Dade is already 18months old.  He's getting to be quite the character.  It's all about buckles, helping, and putting himself to bed.  If we bring the stroller inside the house, he will climb into it and try and buckle himself in it.  When we come home from the store, he wants to carry something from the car (or stroller) and put it in the kitchen.  He also likes to help me more the clothes from the washer to the dryer and then turn the dryer on.  Finally, he pulls us to the stairs, then to his room, and then to his bed when he's ready to turn in for the night.  Most nights he will wave bye to you and say, "Bye."

He had his check-up on Thursday and I think the shots he got caught up with him today.  He was cranky and running a fever for a good chunk of it. After his bath he was ready to turn in.

I'm super tired too, hope to turn in before too long.

New Site

I just worked on my classroom website.  I'm stoked about it.  I uploaded my lesson plans to the site, as well as some PBS handouts and mini-posters that I made.  Here's the link:


Mrs. Krause's Classroom

I plan on using it as much as possible this year, encouraging my parents to go there for information and lessons when their child is sick.  We shall see.

I'm excited about tomorrow.  I have a good chunk of the same kids from last year. It's half days all week, which means the kiddos leave at 1.  Which is somewhat weird and not really a half day because we get out at 2:30 this year, but oh well.  Truly it's like a 3/4 day.

On the Dade front he tried to climb onto the cabinet tonight while I was doing the dishes.  He successfully climbed on top of the first handle of the bottom drawer while pulling up on the counter top.  I'm sure in the days/weeks to come I'll come around the corner to find him on the counter.

New Classroom

Quick post. I'm standing in my classroom, looking at the LOADS of stuff that I still need to accomplish before my kiddos come walking through my door on Monday.

Normally this isn't a problem for me, however, I have the same kids that I did last year since I looped, and I don't want them to have the same stuff so to speak on the walls. Which is a big challenge considering it is the same stuff.

It is coming together very nicely. We have lunch on our own today, so I'm going to stay here and work instead of going out.

As soon as I get things up and going around here I'll take some pictures for your viewing pleasure!
