Stressed

I'm super stressed out.  Work is stressing me out, and I'm tired all the time.  I can't seem to shake my cough nor my sniffles.  Dadey is going through a growth spurt and getting his 2 year molars, which means he screamed for about 15 minutes when I put him into bed. He didn't want to lie down and go to bed.  I took the CD player back upstairs and put on Republic Tigers, and he calmed right down and went to sleep.

I feel for him, on the not feeling good.  He just wants to cuddle up with mommy or daddy and feel safe.  Problem is that this time last year he was super sick and we started letting him sleep with us.  It lasted for months, he wouldn't sleep in his own bed, and we ended up having him sleep with us.  I don't want this to happen.  Neither Clint nor I sleep well when we sleeps with us, so I let him cry until he went to sleep.  Broke my heart, but I had to let him know that he had to sleep in his bed like a big boy.

I don't have to work tomorrow!!!  I get an extra day off, and it's much needed.  I've been pulling 10+ hour days at school plus doing work at home and I still can't seem to get caught up.  The quarter is ending next week, which means I need to have all my grading done and in the system.  I'm starting to do the thing where I'm picking and choosing what is getting graded and what's not. 

The kids are getting better at doing the grading on their own and telling me what their scores are.  That's a whole lot of stress off of me.  By allowing them to grade their own I have to grade less.  I'm starting my reading groups next week.  Hopefully they will go smoothly.  I need to get them back in the groups.  They did so well with them last year.

We have a super busy weekend planned as usual.   Pumpkin Patch tomorrow, Ren Fest again on Saturday with Clint's Mom, and then a work day with Clint's family on Sunday. 

Time to go fold some laundry, grade some papers, and get ready for my shows.

I've been doing some blog posting for Red Moon. I've been working hard on setting up different local cons for us to attend. Last night everything looked so promising. This morning was a rough one.

Dade decided that he was going to break Clint's glasses. We've been "milking" the glasses as long as we could until our insurance rolled over to the new period. Which is just so happened to do that yesterday! Anyway, Clint tried to superglue the piece that broke, but it wouldn't stick. So I made frantic calls from work trying to find an eye doctor that he could go to before the Con today. Find out, but by the time he got there they didn't have time to see him. He is currently running a game of Unity Underground with glasses that have only one side that sits on the ears. I did manage to find an eye doctor down the road from the Con tomorrow that he can go to between games. At least now he'll have contacts lenses. No more worries about Dade breaking his glasses.

Tomorrow we'll be headed toward BobCon. Dade is spending the day with both sides of grandparents. Then on Sunday we are headed towards the RenFest. It will be great to take Dade to the RenFest because he's never been! Jon and Shannon are going with us. I'm super-duber excited.
