So poor Slinky. Thursday and Friday were not very good days (at least in his eyes). We finally found a vet that I was comfortable with. I had called several vet places, asking some questions, and the responses that I got were not ones that I would call welcoming. Finally after a recommendation from someone I work with at Sylvan I stopped by the Chipman Road Animal Clinic. Talked to them about getting a complete work up done on Slinky. We needed his shots, and most importantly a dental cleaning. They were super nice, and explained everything to me. So Thursday afternoon we took Slinky in to get the blood work taken care of as well as give him his shots. Needless to say he wasn't very happy when they took him into the back room away from Clint and I. Yesterday we had to take him back between 7 and 8 in the morning. They called about 1230 or so to tell us that he came through okay and that we could pick him up after 4. Everything checked out okay on Slinky, his liver, kidneys, joints etc... They did the Senior 7 on him plus the cleaning of his teeth. While he was asleep for the cleaning, they also clipped his nails (for free).
I haven't been feeling very good lately. Really no one here in the house has. Amy went to the Clinic on Monday, and has a sinus infection. Clint's nose will not stop running, but he doesn't need to go to the doctor, and Thursday night I got extremely sick to my stomach as well as, coughing horribly with a fever. I went to the Doctor yesterday and found out that I have bronchitis. On top of that I had to have blood work done because I haven't had my monthly visitor since April, and I'm not pregnant. There's a possibility that I will have to have more blood work done depending on what the test says. Not really excited about all that, somewhat scary if you ask me. The doctor thinks it maybe my thyroid (which would explain that rapid weight gain in a span of two months as well as my lack of estrogen). Hopefully its nothing to serious. The nurse was supposed to call me yesterday to let me know what the blood test said, but I never got the call so it will be Monday now before I know anything. I'm just going to relax all weekend and not do a lot of unnecessary things.
