This is a question that I keep hearing people ask me. My response has been, "I'm not sure." Well, after having my second baby shower, and looking at my registry I know what I have plenty of and what I need.
Here's what I have plenty of:
Bottles: At my first shower I got 4, a co-worker of mine asked if I wanted hers because her daughter just stopped using them so I got a bag full, and at yesterday's shower I got a box of 3 and a huge gift set. I'm not sure how many is in the gift set.
Wipes: Now I know that they aren't going to last forever, however I have got a box of 832 from the third grade teachers at yesterday's shower, and last weekend at Sam's club I got a box that had a large amount as well.
Here's some things that we need that we don't have yet.
Car Seat/Stroller Combo: This is the last of the big items that we don't have yet. It's expensive, so we (meaning Clint and I) have to look at our expenses so we can figure out how to get it
Sheets: We have one fitted sheet for the crib, and no sheets for the play pen. We currently have the play pen set up in our bedroom with basset feature installed. That's were Dade is going to be sleeping for a while until we feel comfortable with him sleeping in his own room.
Swaddle Me Blankets: These are special blankets that you put the baby in. These are sleepers that have these two flaps on the sides that wrap around the blanket. They keep the arms close to the body, and help prevent the baby from rolling over.
Bottle Drying Rack: Yes, as I stated before I have plenty of bottles. I also have the bottle and nipple cleaner, I need to get a bottle drying rack though so they can dry upside down.
Stage 1 Nipples: I know that some of the bottles that I received came with the Stage 2 nipples. Which is a faster flowing nipple. I need to get the Stage 1 Nipples, these are designed to be a slower flowing nipple.
Receiving Blankets: We have LOTS of blanket blankets, but lightweight blankets, we do not. We got a package of 4 receiving blankets from yesterday's shower, soft flannel ones. As well as a few I got from my first shower.

We have a $50 gift certificate for Babies R Us, so I plan on going and getting a few things off this list. I'm going to have to stay away from the cute clothes and focus on the things we need. I'm feeling slightly better today. My throat is just raw.

No, what you'll need is an epidural. Trust me.
I was surprised at how much stuff I got that I hardly used! You'll be good for quite awhile with those wipes though! I don't remember how many receiving blankets we had, but we had waaaaayyy too many big blankets. We probably only used 4 of them, ever.
It's very exciting that your boy is almost here!
