Dade has a fascination for the carton of eggs. 2 weeks ago he woke up Clint with a carton of eggs. Mind you, they nap upstairs in our room. Dade, having awoken before his daddy, opened the bedroom door, walked down stairs to the kitchen, opened the fridge door and grabbed the carton of eggs. He then walked all the back upstairs with the full carton, and set them on the night-stand next to Clint. He then told Clint to "wake up." Imagine Clint's surprise when he saw the eggs next to him. Luckily, no eggs were harmed in this instant.
Today, however, it was a different story! Dade again, being rather sneaky, got into the fridge and got the carton of eggs (different carton I bought a few days ago), and took them to the couch. Now, Clint was literally out of the room for a minute or so. What Clint first noticed was the soy sauce sitting in the middle of the kitchen floor. He put it back into the fridge and then went into the living room, where he found the carton completely smashed on the couch. Eggs everywhere! Thank goodness we paid the extra money for Scotch-guard when we bought the couch. Clint was able to get the gooey mess cleaned up, and at one point Dade helped wipe the couch down with a damp rag.
I now have to figure out how to lock my fridge from Dade. The kid is going to ruin all our food!

Seriously?!
I used to be all down with this blogging thing, and now a days I can't seem to get with this silly picture! Grr!!!!
As always things are so crazy in the Krause household that I very RARELY get time to just relax and surf the net. Mainly because we are down to my school laptop as the primary source for computing. We have our old desktop in the bedroom, but we try to use it as less as possible, because we'll it's old and loud. Fingers crossed, Clint can get his new computer (we are going to a MacBook) sometime in February, so that means I won't have to give up the school computer upon returning from work.
In other news, my grandmother passed away on the 4th of this month. It was a crazy time. She was literally fine until just a few days before she died. I was at least able to say goodbye to her before they gave her medicine to make her comfortable. I told her to tell grandpa that I blame him for Dade's crazy behavior and she laughed and told me that it was true he was a lot like his great-grandpa. Of course that was the week where the weather was crazy here in MO. Because of all the snow, we couldn't bury her until the following Monday. Luckily for me I was out all week on snow-days so I was able to spend lots of time with the family.
I'm officially 1/2 done with my second Master's degree. I'll graduate in December, and then I'm done. I think Clint might go back once I'm done, so we'll see how that goes. We are committed to paying off this darn loans until well I'm sure Dade will be in college when we get close to paying them off.
Dade turns 2 next month! Holy cow!! I can't believe my little monster is going to be 2! It seems crazy to me! We have started him in daycare one day a week for a little social time. Clint will now have Friday's all to himself. I have a feeling that he'll be getting LOADS of work done of those days!
What else??? Oh! Slinky cracked a disk in his back about 2 weeks ago. Poor dog has been kenneled, except to eat and go to the bathroom since then. We thought we were going to have to put him down, however the ER Vet said it should heal in 2 weeks. He's doing great! So as of this Wednesday he'll be a free dog again! I feel bad kenneling him for that amount of time, but being a dachshund they are prone to back injuries and he's almost 10.
If you want to know what's going on in the business front with us, check out our blog Red Moon Medicine Show. Clint's been super busy with everything on that front. I've been lining up local Missouri cons for him, and helping him get ready for Gen Con 2010. I get to go this year because it's earlier than normal. I haven't been since 2004, thanks to being a teacher!
I think that's about it! Time to go watch Police Academy with Clint!
