New Car

I said good-bye to my Saturn on Monday and the 97K miles I put on her from the time I got her at mile 7.  I was sad to see her go, I had her for 6 years.  We have now upgraded to a newer, bigger car.  Clint never really fit into the Saturn, even when I bought it in 2003.  Our new car, 2009 Mazda5, is really sweet!  I think my favorite aspect of the car so far is the fact that it still drives like a compact car.  I do not get the feeling that I'm driving a boat.  We sold Clint's Dodge Intrepid this time last year because it felt like I was driving a boat, that and it had over 100K miles on it.

Here's a picture of it outside the house:

Of course, it's not all shiny and clean now because we've driven it and it rained the other day, but it still is clean on the inside.  I'm making it my top agenda right now to take out everything when we get out of the car. Inside of the car must stay clean now!

Yesterday was the first day I got to have the car all to myself.  Clint had to have it Tuesday and Wednesday because of Jury Duty and a death in the family.  I am itching to take it out on the highway, but haven't been able too.  I have to go into Lee's Summit this weekend, so I'll get to try it then!

Here's a picture of the roomy inside:

It's nice because Dade can sit behind the driver and still have plenty of room regardless of who is driving. That's a plus, because we were constantly having to move his car-seat around in the Saturn. Dade wasn't too sure about the car when we were leaving the dealership on Monday.  I guess he thought we were leaving him with strangers, since we put him in the car first.  Once Clint and I got into the car though, he was fine.  He can see all the "beep-beeps" as we drive along.

I'm thankful that I now have a car that is going to start every morning when I leave to go to work.  No more getting ready 20 minutes early in case it doesn't want to start.

That's one less stress I have now in my life!  Now if I could just remove a few more!
