Work

I whole heartedly love my job. It rocks. Everyone is really nice, and so helpful whenever I have a question or need help for that matter. I started on Monday teaching by myself, after one month of training. My DE (Director of Education) said that he was impressed with how well my notebooks looked after I turned them down. That was very exciting for me that he was happy with my work.

Right now I'm working Monday-Thursday Nights. Eventually I would like to get 20 hours in those 4 days, but it all depends on the students enrolled in the program. Starting in June, I will be working Monday-Friday Mornings from 8:30-12:30. Which means I get to get up around 5:45, so I can be ready to leave around 6:30. I always arrive atleast 1 hour before hand to pull my matierals. In September, I'll get my training check. Which will be a nice little bonus after our trip to Indy.

I interviewed with the Crest Ridge School District last Thursday. I will know something here soon. I know a few teachers in that district that said they would put in a good word for me, as well as my mom's boss's husband knows the Principal at the Elementary School. Although after the Pleasant Hill ordeal, I'm not going to get my hopes up like I did, only to have them crushed.

I've been doing what preping I can for whatever classroom I'll be teaching in. In fact, I just just found an AWESOME website, that has LOTS of materials for teachers to print off, and joining the website is FREE... glorious sounds to my ears, a broke teacher who is married to a writer. I love free teaching websites, most of them are free, but there are some that you have to pay for.

All in all, things are going well. Clint's beard is getting long for him at least, and I'm getting used to it finally.

More later!!!
